Back in 2006 Tom Bowen was doing work experience at a graphic design company near Salisbury and for the week he was given the task of creating a brand identity. This is when Social started. It started off just with some logos and designing a few tshirts but it never really went any further.

Come 2010 Tom was finishing his Graphic Design Foundation Degree and wanted something to do in his spare time that would give him a creative outlet. Social became that outlet for me. He wasn’t convinced as to how well the shirts would sell so he borrowed some money and started out with a batch of 80 shirts with 2 designs. He managed to sell them all via the online store, Pijin bike shop in Southampton, Urban Hardware in Salisbury and at various bmx competitions.

It is now coming to the end of 2010 and Social has established itself well in the local community and bit further too! So as of 2011 its a fresh start for Social with seasonal releases and plenty of other exciting stuff including a BMX dvd starring the whole team and many other friends!

We would like to say a massive thankyou to everyone who has supported us so far and we look forward to the future and what it might bring!!

The long awaited DILLIGAF

So its about time we gave you an update.

Times are changing and with that Social Co is changing too. This means although we aren’t calling it a day we will be stopping the production of our garments. Social first came about because of a group of friends that shared a love of BMX so that’s what we are going back too. We will still work on our video and release little videos and photos here and there and maybe one day another tee or two but for nowcan I just say, thank you for your support over the past few years.

This moving lark is taking its time but don’t give up on us yet.

We have some pretty sick ideas being contemplated and drawn up!

Update.

Whats going on right now for SocialCo.

  • Come this Friday (19th), SocialCo’s online store will be offline. This is not permanent but it is due to the fact that we are moving premises. This will also mark the end of our sale and we will probably end up selling all the stock off cheap at the upcoming Salisbury BMX Jam on September 11th. We can’t unfortunately give you a date when we will have the store back up because of the uncertainty of a moving date but when it does come back the store will be full of new stuff so keep your eyes peeled!!
  • Any orders from the past two weeks, if they haven’t arrived already may have been delayed due to stock getting packed away a little prematurely but all orders will arrive by the end of this week without fail, thankyou for your patience!!
  • There will also be a short video coming soon from a day trip to a couple of parks yesterday.
